Students are building background knowledge with the uses of QR codes and videos. The will start reading Holes tomorrow. IT is a story about a wrongfully convicted boy, who is sent to a brutal desert detention camp where he gets the job of digging holes for some mysterious reason. Thanks to Ms. Hall for the opportunity to bring the fun to her class.

Traveling El Camino Real de los Tejas virtual field trip. Here we are with student taking a virtual trip to El Caminio Real de los Tejas.  It was Designated as a National Historic Trail in 2004, El Camino Real de los Tejas (Highway 6 in Louisiana and Highway 21 in Texas) has existed for more than 300 years.
El Camino Real has its easternmost beginning in Natchitoches, Louisiana and runs from Piney Woods through rolling hills to the arid lands of Old Mexico.
The Spaniards and the French that marked the trail were followed by such men as Moses Austin and his son Stephen Fuller Austin (The Father of Texas), Jim Bowie, Davy Crockett, Sam Houston, and early missionaries of multiple faiths.
An abundance of historic cities await the modern day traveler on the Texas stretch of El Camino Real, including San Antonio, Bastrop, Crockett, Alto, Nacogdoches, and San Augustine. The students, teachers and all enjoyed the chance to learn and explore.

Space Aliens

The students in Mrs. Ritchie and Mrs. Jacques-Pineda Classes are learning about Space through the use of Space Aliens. The premise is that 7 aliens have landed on Earth looking for a new home. Your job is to  find them a planet. You are to send out probes to find which planets will allow each alien to survive. Great work. using Alien Rescue is showing a fantastic example of Problem based learning.
